New: Generate Branded Client Quotes with Your Own Logo
Share
If you're a mechanical contractor sourcing parts through National Boiler Supply, there's a tool on your cart and product pages worth knowing about: a one-click quote generator that builds a client-facing proposal PDF with your own markup applied, and now, your own branding on it.
What It Actually Does
Add items to your cart the normal way, then hit Generate Client Proposal. A quick form asks for your client's name, a project or job reference, and your markup percentage. The tool takes it from there, pulling your live cart contents and building a clean PDF proposal with your pricing applied on top of wholesale, ready to send straight to your client.
The same tool is also available on individual product pages, so you can generate a quick single-item quote without needing to build out a full cart first.
Your Markup, Not Ours, on the Page
The wholesale price you're actually paying never appears anywhere on the generated proposal. Your client sees your pricing, with your markup built in, the same way it would look if you'd built the quote by hand. What you charge on top of our pricing is entirely your call and stays between you and your business.
Now With Your Branding
The latest update lets you put your own logo on the proposal instead of a generic template. When your client opens the PDF, it reads as a quote from you, not a document that happens to reference a supplier they've never heard of. For a contractor building a relationship with a client, that consistency matters more than it might seem.
Built for How Contractors Actually Quote
A few things about how this works are worth knowing if you haven't used it yet:
- Your cart is your quote. Add or remove items the normal way, and whatever's in your cart when you generate the proposal is what shows up on it, multi-item jobs included, not just single parts.
- Client name and job reference are separate fields, both shown on the PDF, so you can keep proposals organized across multiple active jobs for the same client if needed.
- It's a proposal, not a live checkout link. Your client isn't clicking through to pay National Boiler Supply directly. You stay the point of contact and the one collecting payment from your client, exactly the way a normal contractor quote works.
Where to Find It
Look for the quote generation button on your cart page after adding items, or on any individual product page for a fast single-item quote. If you're a regular NBS customer and haven't tried it yet, it's built specifically to save you the time of rebuilding a proposal from scratch in a separate document every time you quote a job.
