The Amtrol Therm-X-Trol ST-12C Commercial Thermal Expansion Tank (ST-12C-DD) is a high-performance system component engineered to deliver premium fluid distribution efficiency and reliability. Built with a heavy-duty deep-drawn steel housing, this unit provides exceptional durability and outstanding resistance to demanding system environments. Its low-maintenance, high-performance architecture makes it an ideal solution for controlling dangerous pressure buildup in closed commercial potable hot water loops.
Constructed and certified per ASME Section VIII, Division 1 code standards, the ST-12C features a premium deep-drawn dome engineering design that offers double the physical strength of traditional head-and-shell designs while utilizing half the welds. The internal architecture features an antimicrobial polypropylene liner coupled alongside an advanced heavy-duty butyl diaphragm to continuously neutralize system bacteria such as Legionella, Staphylococcus, and E. coli. Outfitted with a patented internal Turbulator™ to circulate incoming fluid and completely eliminate raw sediment accumulation, this inline commercial expansion tank ensures continuous thermal expansion protection and rigid building code compliance.
