Generac 7172 - 10k W Propane / 9k W Natural Gas Generator, Single Phase, Air Cooled, Automatic Standby

The Generac 7172 is a single-phase Automatic Standby Generator designed to provide reliable backup power for residential or small commercial applications. This air-cooled unit is powered by a Generac 460 cc engine that operates at 3,600 RPM and is compatible with both Liquid Propane (LP) and Natural Gas (NG).

• - Standby Power Rating: Delivers 10 kW on Liquid Propane and 9 kW on Natural Gas.
• - Electrical Output: 240V AC with an amperage of 41.7 A (LP) or 37.5 A (NG).
• - Efficiency: Features Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to maintain stable power and a power factor of 1.
• - Sound Level: Operates at 61 dBA.

  Fuel and Consumption:

  • - Fuel Connection: Utilizes a standard 3/4 in. NPT pipe connection.
  • - Fuel Pressure: Requires a minimum of 10 in. wc and a maximum of 12 in. wc for both fuel types.
  • - Consumption at Half Load: Consumes 0.97 gph of LP or 101 cu ft/hr of Natural Gas.

    • - Enclosure: The unit is housed in an aluminum enclosure finished in a bisque color.
    • - Automatic Operation: Includes a 100A Transfer Switch
