The Taco 0012-F4 is an industrial-grade, high-capacity inline hydronic circulator pump specifically engineered to handle high-flow, medium-head fluid distribution requirements in large-scale commercial radiant loops, zoning arrays, and indirect water heater systems. Outfitted with Taco's signature self-lubricating cartridge assembly, this pump delivers whisper-quiet, maintenance-free performance over a vast operational lifespan.
Advanced Engineering & Field Serviceability Benefits:
- Replaceable Cartridge Design: Houses all dynamic moving parts—including the rotor, shaft, and bearings—within an isolated internal pod. Field service requires simply removing four motor bolts to swap the cartridge core, eliminating the need to cut pipe or replace the entire pump housing.
- Fluid-Self-Lubricated Bearings: System water continuously flows through the cartridge matrix to self-lubricate the ceramic outer sleeve bearings. This eliminates manual oiling requirements and guards against dirt or air degradation.
- High-Torque Reliable Startup: Outfitted with a premium permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor that delivers strong startup torque profiles, preventing impeller lockups or binding after long seasonal system shutdowns.
Application Note: The standard cast-iron body version (0012-F4) is built strictly for closed-loop hydronic heating applications where system oxygen is carefully managed. For open-loop domestic potable water or fresh solar-thermal grids, the bronze structural body variant (0012-BF4) must be utilized to prevent oxide corrosion.
