The Taco Comfort Solutions 0015-MSF3-IFC 3-Speed Standard Hydronic Circulator Pump is a high-reliability, multi-speed wet rotor drive optimized for the demanding flow envelopes of closed-loop residential and light commercial space heating systems. Built with a heavy-duty cast iron volute housing, this versatile pump features an integrated 3-speed manual rotary switch that gives installers the precision necessary to balance complex multi-zone loops, radiant heat zones, hydro-air coils, or indirect baseboard plumbing networks.
Core Mechanical & Performance Features:
- High Starting Torque Class Motor: Engineered with a premium permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor matrix that delivers the highest starting torque in its class, easily sweeping system particulate and scaling away upon startup to eliminate rotor jamming.
- Removable Integral Flow Check (IFC®): Features a built-in, unibody gravity check valve mechanism that seals closed when the pump rests. This limits thermal migration and ghost siphoning across inactive multi-boiler zones without adding external flow-restriction components.
- Field Serviceable Maintenance Cartridge: Utilizing a self-lubricating, fluid-cooled cartridge design, the internal moving components require zero manual lubrication and can be completely replaced in the field without requiring the pump body to be cut from the system pipe joints.
System Fluid Constraints: Engineered exclusively for closed-loop hydronic loops containing treated water or glycol combinations up to 50% max density. This pump is fabricated out of non-plated cast iron and must not be connected to open-loop potable domestic drinking water pipes.
