The Taco Comfort Solutions® Cast Iron Air Scoop® Series is designed to provide an efficient, low-velocity environment for complete air elimination in closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems. By expanding the fluid flow path, these heavy-duty cast iron scoops force a sudden reduction in water velocity, allowing entrained microbubbles to break surface tension and float cleanly up into the main air chamber.

Available in threaded connections for compact residential loops (1" to 2-1/2") and robust flanged patterns for commercial mains (3" and 4"), every model features dedicated upper tappings for a direct connection to an automatic air vent and plain-steel expansion tanks. The completely unobstructed internal shell design yields an incredibly low pressure drop, ensuring maximum flow rates with zero unnecessary system restriction.
