The Taco VorTech Air Separator is an advanced, high-efficiency inline conditioning component engineered to systematically eliminate entrained air from closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems. By leveraging an internal fluid vortex engineering design, this separator drops system noise thresholds, eliminates air binding, protects expensive system circulators from cavitation, and optimizes overall thermal transfer across your piping network.
Vortex Air Elimination Mechanics & Performance Benefits:
- Patented Whirlpool Separation: Dynamically swirls incoming system fluid, creating a localized low-pressure pocket at the center of the chamber. This drop in pressure forces microscopic micro-bubbles to rapidly expand, break free from the water molecules, and float upward.
- Integrated Carbon Steel Conical Bubble Breaker: Features an specialized internal mesh baffle block that intercepts rising micro-bubbles, coalescing them into larger air pockets that exit smoothly out of the integrated top venting port.
- System Longevity Expansion: Removing both free and dissolved oxygen blocks localized oxidation, halting component rust fouling and maximizing the operational lifespan of boiler blocks, heat exchangers, and circulator shafts.
Installation Adaptability: Outfitted with a convenient 1/2" bottom tapping configuration to allow direct, streamlined mounting of a standard diaphragm expansion tank right below the separator, minimizing required mechanical room footprint.
